This document outlines the terms and conditions of the optional Accommodation
Assistance Service offered by Cher's Language Learning Center (Cher's LLC) to its prospective and enrolled
students. The purpose of this service is to assist students from outside the local area in finding suitable
living arrangements. Please read this document carefully before proceeding.
1. Introduction & Scope of Service
Cher's LLC understands that securing accommodation can be a challenge for students arriving from other regions
or countries. To support our students, we offer a dedicated service to help facilitate this process.
This service includes:
- Active Search: Based on the student's provided budget and preferences, our team will
actively search for available rental options (e.g., rooms, apartments).
- Physical Site Visits: Our staff will physically visit promising locations to assess their
general condition, suitability, and environment.
- Digital Documentation: We will capture high-quality photos and videos of the shortlisted
properties to provide the student with a clear and realistic view of the options.
- Presentation of Options: We will compile and present a portfolio of 2–4 of the best
available options found, including details on location, cost, amenities, and our captured images/videos.
- Facilitating Introduction: Once a student chooses a property, we will facilitate the
initial contact between the student and the landlord or property agent.
- Service Duration and Completion: This service is valid for a period of 14
consecutive days from the date of payment confirmation, or until a portfolio of 2–4 suitable
options has been presented to the student, whichever occurs first. The service will be considered complete
and concluded after 14 days or once the options have been sent. Cher's LLC is not obligated to provide
additional options beyond this point without a new service agreement.
2. Non-Refundable Service & Coordination Fee
To initiate the Accommodation Assistance Service, the student is required to pay a one-time,
non-refundable service and coordination fee.
- Fee Amount: D3,000 (Three Thousand Gambian Dalasi).
- Accepted Payment Methods (please include your full name in the payment reference so we can
track your payment):
- Wave Mobile Money — pay the D3,000 fee directly (amount pre-filled).
- In-Person Cash Payment — at our front desk during business hours. A receipt will be issued immediately.
- Bank Deposit / Transfer — Bank: Ecobank,
Account Name: Cher's Language Learning Center,
Account Number: 6240040715.
- Purpose of the Fee: This fee is not a deposit on a property. It exclusively covers the
operational costs incurred by Cher's LLC during the search process, including (but not limited to) staff
time and labor, transportation to visit properties, communication expenses, and coordination with local
property agents (who may also charge a finder's fee).
- Payment: This fee must be paid in full before the search process can begin.
- Service Commencement: The search process is initiated immediately upon successful receipt
and confirmation of the full D3,000 fee by Cher's LLC.
- Non-Refundable Clause: The fee is non-refundable regardless of whether the student
ultimately selects one of the presented options or secures accommodation through other means. The fee
compensates for the work already performed by the Center.
3. Important Clarifications & Limitations of Service (Disclaimer)
- Role as a Facilitator: Cher's LLC acts solely as a facilitator and
intermediary. We are not a real estate agency, landlord, or property manager.
- No Guarantee: While we commit to making a diligent effort to find suitable options, we
cannot guarantee the availability of accommodation that meets all of the student's preferences, especially
during peak seasons or on a limited budget.
- Rental Agreement is Separate: The final rental agreement (lease/tenancy contract) is a
private legal contract strictly between the student and the landlord/property owner. Cher's LLC is not a
party to this agreement and will not be involved in its negotiation or signing.
- Disclaimer of Liability: Cher's LLC is not responsible or liable for the
terms of the rental agreement; any financial transactions between the student and the landlord (including
rent payments, security deposits, etc.); the safety, security, or condition of the chosen property; or any
disputes that may arise between the student and the landlord during the tenancy. We strongly advise students
to thoroughly inspect the property and read their rental contract before signing.
4. Dispute Resolution and Indemnification
- Indemnification and Legal Costs: In the unlikely event of a dispute between the Student and
Cher's LLC arising from this service that results in legal action, the Student agrees to bear their own legal
costs and fees. Cher's LLC shall not be responsible for any court fees, attorney fees, or other legal
expenses incurred by the Student. Furthermore, the Student agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Cher's LLC,
its employees, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising
from disputes between the Student and any third party, including landlords or property agents.
5. Student's Responsibilities
- Provide clear, honest, and detailed information regarding accommodation needs, including maximum monthly
budget for rent, preferred location or proximity to the center, type of accommodation needed, and any
essential requirements (e.g., private bathroom, kitchen access).
- Communicate promptly with our staff during the search process.
- Make a final decision on a property in a timely manner, as rental options can be taken quickly.
6. Acknowledgement and Agreement
By submitting the accommodation request form and ticking the agreement box, you acknowledge that you have read,
fully understood, and voluntarily agree to all the terms, conditions, and disclaimers outlined in this
Accommodation Assistance Service Agreement. You understand that the D3,000 fee is a non-refundable service fee for the search and coordination effort provided by Cher's LLC and
is not a payment towards rent or a security deposit.
